Confession or not, the truth will come out. Fire setting is a mental illness. It will be interesting to see if stories of Baye's childhood and adolescence come out in court, and what a psychologist says about him.

It doesn't matter if the biker collided into the car or the car collided into the biker. Those both have the same meaning, a collision between two subjects. If Scott said the biker ran into the car, then I would get your point.

I am not saying whose fault it is but I am saying I live near downtown and travel through town daily. There are many, many times that I have to weave for a walker trying to beat the car (WHO HAS A GREEN LIGHT) and the same with a bicycle.
I hope this kid is ok, I came upon the accident a few minutes after it happened and the car was just about at the sidewalk. A green arrow isn't going to make these people wait for the walk signal but it will make the flow better. Cars dart through the intersection to go onto Pleasant St. but they have to wait for all the traffic to go through before they can turn. But then some end up stuck in the middle of the intersection and the light turns yellow so you know you have to get through before the walking signal starts! So a green arrow will stop the rushing to get through and also a red arrow should be with it so it stops the traffic too.

Scott-- It's premature to say that Delmolino's bike "collided" with Avelar's car. The state police are reconstructing the accident and they have not yet made a statement about who "collided" with whom. At the scene, it appeared as likely that the car "collided" with the bike.
As for culpability, that's a whole other story; we'll have to wait until the results of the accident investigation are made public.
There's a lot of speculation and guessing going on now about the accident. I'm sure the Gaz doesn't mean to contribute to the confusion.

This inytersection of Main and Pleasant in front of Florence Savings Bank need a green turning arrow. You have to live in Northampton for many years and the frustration of not having this green traffic turning arrow when turning left on Pleasant from Main Street. Lots of traffic is comming from City Hall area and waiting to turn left is tiresome. City Hall must have known about this dired situation to fix this simple matter so future accidents should be avoided.

If there is a union contract in place and the terms were violated by a particular employee working under that contract, why would the city pay for any of this time? Unauthorized? Particularly without detailed records of when and how the time was spent. The weekly time sheets should show at least what hours were worked, they are not available why? Many more questions need to be answered before any payments are made.
That one department head with so many extra hours seems to be overly compensated to begin with. Moreover, management does not usually get overtime pay, which is essentially what this is. A reward for bad behavior, poor time management among other things.
The Mayor is making changes, though. That's a start.

I have lost track of the ongoing media opinion assault on gays by Mr Zuchowski. Recent studies may provide a reason: http://www.springerlink.com/content/vp24xg7328852531/
