Increase text size

Sometimes when browsing the web the text size on a web site is already pre-determined for you by the designers of the website. In some cases, the text is either way too big or way too small. So, in order to make browsing GazetteNET more user friendly, we have added a feature to increase the text size to make reading the articles a bit easier on your eyes.

To increase the text size in a story, simply single-click the icon on the toolbar at the top of the page.

Please note that this feature will only work on our homepage, section front(s), and the story pages. All other pages on GazetteNET have this feature disabled.

If you have cookies enabled (click here to learn more about cookies), the size that you have set the text at will be the same every time you return.

Story Clippings

One of the most advanced features that we have added to this version of our website, is the ability to Add and Remove your favorite stories while visiting GazetteNET. You can access to your saved stories through the Story Clippings menu anywhere on GazetteNET.

In order to add a story to the Story Clippings menu to be saved for later reading, you must click on the icon found next to any headline found on GazetteNET. Once you have clicked the icon, it will disappear from view to notify you that the story has been added to the Story Clippings menu.

To view your saved stories, simply single-click on the icon on the toolbar at the top of the page. The number represents how many stories you have saved. After single-clicking on this icon, a window will appear (example at right) just below the toolbar with any stories that you have saved. To read any of your saved stories just click on it's individual headline.

In order to remove an individual story in the menu, single-click on the icon. You can always go back and re-add any story that you have removed, by again, clicking on the icon next to any headline found on GazetteNET.

You may also choose to clear any stories that you have read from the Story Clippings menu by single-clicking on the 'Clear Read Stories' icon.

You also have the option of removing all of your saved stories from the Story Clippings menu by single-clicking on the 'Clear All Stories' icon.

Note: Any stories that you have saved will be automatically deleted after 12 days.
