AMHERST - With 4 minutes, 7 seconds left in the last game she'd ever play in the Mullins Center, University of Massachusetts senior guard Megan Zullo drove to the basket.

Rhode Island had just cut UMass' lead to five points, but Zullo laid it in.

And there is the new JetBlue Park, player development center and spring training home. When fans see this place they will be blown away with this beautiful facility. Young people overuse the word "awesome" but truthfully this place is totally awesome! Critics who say the system overpays and pampers professional ballplayers have a point sometimes, but in this case the fans are pampered as well by the park.

Doug Sattler passes 100 career points for South Hadley hockey team

HOLYOKE - When Doug Sattler decided to play high school hockey before his junior year, the South Hadley forward didn't even consider the possibility of 100 career points. When he entered this season needing 57 points, it became even less likely in his mind. But with Sattler's overwhelming talent and that of his teammates, the milestone became reality on Wednesday's senior night. In just his 40th career varsity game, Sattler reached and surpassed the 100-point mark in the Tigers' 12-1 romp of Chicopee Comp at Fitzpatrick Rink in Holyoke.

High school boys basketball: Northampton clinches Suburban title in overtime

The Northampton boys basketball team won the Suburban League title outright with its second straight victory which required late heroics.

Jarrod Neumann made a free throw with six seconds left to force overtime and the Blue Devils dominated the extra frame to earn an 81-72 victory Wednesday night in East Longmeadow.

Williston boys hockey rallies to edge Albany

Ole Setssas and Ross Olson each scored goals in the final 33 seconds of the third period to lift the Williston boys hockey team to a 5-4 win over Albany Academy on Wednesday in Albany, N.Y.

Olson finished the game with two goals. Tim Keegan had 27 saves in net for the Wildcats.
