Hadley teen badly hurt in Northampton bicycle accident

NORTHAMPTON - A Hadley teenager was listed in critical condition Sunday afternoon at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield after suffering life-threatening injuries in a bicycle accident Saturday evening, according to the Northwestern district attorney's office.

Woman pleads not guilty to Hadley car theft

BELCHERTOWN - A Palmer woman pleaded not guilty Monday in Eastern Hampshire District Court to charges that she stole a car last week from the parking lot of a Hadley fitness center.

Stephanie M. Conrad, 28, of Palmer was arrested Saturday in relation to an incident reported May 8 at Planet Fitness in Hadley.

Early start to asparagus season also may bring early end

SUNDERLAND (AP) - The warm March brought an early asparagus crop to farms that are known for it in western Massachusetts.

Now farmers are wondering if the cool spring will bring an early end to the season.
