Cummington barn saved by hose-wielding owner

CUMMINGTON - Fire Chief Bernard Forgea said it was the quick thinking of a Stage Road resident that saved a barn and the two horses inside from being destroyed by fire during Wednesday night's thunderstorm.

CUMMINGTON - The transition of the Old Creamery in Cummington to a community-owned cooperative grocery store is moving forward, after organizers received a financial commitment from an area bank.
