CUMMINGTON - A story Friday about the Old Creamery Co-op in Cummington included incorrect information. The Co-op must raise $133,000 to reach its fundraising goal. Three community members have pledged a total of $25,000 toward the fundraising effort if the greater Co-op community raises $75,000.

SHUTESBURY - A story Monday misstated the amount Shutesbury has appropriated yearly to a library building fund. The town has transferred $2,500 to the fund for the last several years.

AMHERST - A story in Friday's Gazette about an Amherst Town Meeting petition article related to federal immigration policy contained incorrect information about who will complete revisions to its language. Town Manager John Musante is expected to rewrite the petition article so that it will no longer be creating a new bylaw and will be acceptable to town counsel.

An April 21 article about the ethical issues involved with drug firms' ties to doctors incorrectly stated the likelihood of suicidal thoughts among people who took Paxil in clinical trials. A 2004 study found that people who took Paxil were four times more likely to attempt suicide than those taking a placebo.
