Helen Clapp, loved her family, friends

SOUTHAMPTON - Helen E. (Bogdanowicz) Clapp, 68 passed away at her home Feb. 18, 2012 after a long illness.

Helen was born on Sept. 14, 1943, in Northampton, the daughter of the late Albert and Josephine (Punska) Bogdanowicz.

She attended Northampton schools and was a longtime employee of the former Northampton State Hospital and Sunny Acres Nursing Home.

Helen loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She enjoyed the ocean and vacationing with her family along the seacoast of Maine.

Helen also enjoyed collecting glass paperweights and was an avid reader. Helen leaves her daughter, Lynne Marie Loftus and husband Raymond and their two children, Dan and Kaira, all of Southampton. She also leaves her aunt, uncle, cousins and several nieces and nephews.

Helen was predeceased by her sister, Jean McGeever, and her golden retriever and loyal companion, Bubba.

She leaves her special friends Maureen Krok and Laurence White.

Calling hours will be Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Czelusniak Funeral Home of Northampton, followed by an in-house service at 7 p.m.

Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donation in Helen's name can be made to the VNA & Hospice of Cooley Dickinson, P.O. Box 329, Northampton, MA 01061, or to the Southampton Fire Department Ambulance Fund, 204 College Highway, Southampton, MA 01073.
